Better Youth is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps foster, homeless and low-income youth in Los Angeles County, ages 16-24, develop practical life skills through social-emotional mentorship, professional development, and media arts training. Our vision is to activate a community of empowered youth equipped for personal and professional success. To achieve this, we offer services through the following platforms:

AIM-N-INSPIRE - a registered pre-apprentice and apprenticeship program in animation, interactive gaming, and filmmaking.

Real To Reel Global - a digital exhibition and creative services platform offering tangible experience in project management.

Support Services – offering case management, paid internships, certificates, digital badges, and housing & wellness resources.

PROGRAM

AIM-N-INSPIRE

As a social impact agency, participants receive advanced technical training, mentorship, certification, and on-the-job training upon completing our pre-apprenticeship program. We help youth build confidence, mitigate learning loss, cultivate transferable skills, and close the digital divide by preparing vulnerable youth for the workforce to create long-term power and sustainability.

Better Youth works with employers to provide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) solutions for companies in the creative economy. In this partnership, we offer media arts programming and access to youth and communities devastated by systemic racism, discrimination, and generational divestment.
