EVEN - the Events Vocational Education Network - formed to create a more diverse and inclusive live events industry through community engagement, training, mentorship, networking and paid apprenticeship. As backstage professionals, our job is to fade into the background so that others may shine brightly. Naturally, this low profile makes it difficult for individuals without resources or connections to find their way into our fold. As a result, the backstage industry has a diversity problem. EVEN was created to address this problem by building an end to end pipeline from first awareness to first gig and beyond.
